In October 2018, the sustainability rating platform provider EcoVadis launched their new and improved version EcoVadis 10. The aim was to enhance user experience, deliver more value and insights for their customers and improve collaboration among trading partners. This article highlights the key changes and improvements relevant for all suppliers.
Main changes: a more user-friendly platform
Apart from layout changes to the entire platform, a variety of new functions have been released as part of EcoVadis 10: the dashboard, for example, now contains a visualised overview of a company’s assessment progress, quick access to the questionnaire and alerts concerning the subscription status.
Also, the ‘my performance’ tab has been modified: company details are now linked to the respective industry profile and all performance information can be found in dedicated tabs covering: scorecard, audits, corrective action plan, live news and documents. The benchmark performance against companies in the same industry is now part of every subscription package and visualised in two different ways. Also, apart from trend arrows and theme scores, a company can now clearly view the average score mark per category as well as the theme weights from 1 to 4, which was previously only visible by hovering over the themes. Further, the strengths and improvement areas are now summarised in separate tabs – each by theme – and contain associated 360 watch findings and specific comments from EcoVadis.
The ‘corrective action plan’ tab has entirely been redesigned to further promote collaboration with trading partners. The existing function of building an improvement plan online, communicating planned and completed corrective actions and directly receiving feedback from your trading partners have been improved.
Another new feature of EcoVadis 10 is the ‘network’ tab in which companies can now view all trading partners and requests in one place. Thanks to this, a company’s EcoVadis results can now easily be shared with several requestors.
Another area that has been changed substantially in EcoVadis 10 is the ‘resources’ tab – companies now have access to a rich toolkit to better understand the scoring methodology, further improve their CSR performance and broadcast CSR achievements more effectively. The latter includes the provision of EcoVadis medals and certificates which can be uploaded to a company’s website or used in marketing material.
How do I manage the transition to EcoVadis 10?
Companies can now use both platforms. It is planned that in Q4 2018, companies will be informed that the changes to the new platform will be definitive.
