Closed-loop value chains

How to move towards a circular business model

The term ‘circular economy’ has become one of the most popular buzzwords in the current sustainability space. The concept has been arising from the aim to redefine products and services in a way to minimize negative impacts. In this paper, the DFGE – Institute for Energy, Ecology and Economy demonstrates how a company can create a loop value chain in which no ‘waste’, such as food waste, packaging or energy, is generated.

The DFGE Whitepaper “Closed-loop value chains: how to move towards a circular business model” further refers to the most important technical, systemic and stakeholder-related challenges which may arise during such a process, and how to overcome them most effectively.
