DFGE is the first German-speaking consulting partner of EcoVadis. Besides Webinars the sustainability intelligence experts now also offer EcoVadis training classes in Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne and Hamburg to support EcoVadis respondents.
Greifenberg/Munich, 09 December 2016 – DFGE – Institute for Energy, Ecology and Economy – was founded in 1999 as a spin-off of the Technical University of Munich and offers complete consulting, software and audit solutions in the field of sustainability. DFGE partners with internationally-recognized reporting frameworks like CDP and EcoVadis to better support companies in their sustainability management and reporting. DFGE provides tailored services from response check to complete services to support companies in answering EcoVadis. Besides webinars for EcoVadis beginners and advanced users DFGE now offers in a roadshow type one-day EcoVadis training classes in Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne and Hamburg.
1 – An EcoVadis training aimed at empowering respondents
EcoVadis is a collaborative platform providing sustainability ratings. Buyers ask their suppliers to be assessed by EcoVadis experts, by filling in a questionnaire and providing supporting documents. EcoVadis’ analysts then rate the sustainability performance of such companies on the basis of such documents, and according to their methodology. The buyers then use the scores according to their own sustainability strategy for the supply chain.
Currently, the average German score is of 42/100 in EcoVadis. Participants who wish to improve such score can take part in the training. The goal is to empower attendees to be autonomous on EcoVadis to improve their companies’ performances.
- The session will last from 10:00 to 4:00 PM
- The main principles of EcoVadis will be detailed, to give attendees the possibility to understand how to prioritize actions and to grasp the impacts of such scoring.
- DFGE will provide many concrete examples on how to improve the performance for example by filling the questionnaire or showing documents complying with EcoVadis expectations.
- Several deliverables and resources will be further provided to further empower participants
- It will include many opportunities to share and exchange, like the breaks or lunch.
2 – Three EcoVadis training dates in early spring
DFGE offers three EcoVadis training slots for the first quarter of 2017::
- Stuttgart, 23 February
- Cologne, 16 March
- Hamburg, 23 March

3 – Tailored DFGE services for EcoVadis participants
DFGE offers free webinars on a monthly basis. Attendees can discover the main principles of EcoVadis. A survey among participants shows that 75% of the attendees have found the recommendations useful or very useful.
DFGE supports companies participating in EcoVadis also with a consulting package including an onsite workshop dedicated for the company, as well as a gap analysis.
DFGE’s complete service package aims at identifying and prioritizing the improvement areas, and take the most of the questionnaire. This case study shows how the complete offer helped the company improve its performance.
Dedicated Response Checks are also offered to companies wishing to have an external proofread of their questionnaire before submitting it.
